The location here is just perfect, being so close to some tall palm trees and where you can witness the break of dawn accompanied by the most beautiful bird songs. It was a great experience! 🌅

The breakfast experience could be improved by offering a wider variety of options.

The rooms at Haggards On Hilldrop are cozy and inviting, with crisp poly-percale linen that feels so fresh and clean. The rich colors of the Persian and Kelim carpets add a touch of warmth and elegance. As a business guest, I really appreciated the private bathroom with a bidet and free toiletries. It made me feel like I was pampering myself after a long day of work. The satellite TV and air conditioning were also great additions to the room, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I loved having a private entrance, which gave me a sense of privacy and convenience. The tile/marble floor was a nice touch, adding a touch of sophistication to the room.
The only thing I liked less about the room was the private entrance. It felt a bit isolated, but I can see how some guests might enjoy the added sense of privacy and exclusivity.

I chose to stay at Haggards On Hilldrop Bed & Breakfast because of its convenient location near Newcastle Mall and Carnegie Art Gallery. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the featured amenities such as express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. The bar at the B&B was a great place to unwind and enjoy my favorite drink after a long day of exploring.
Limited dinner options on weekends.

The property was beautiful and well-maintained, with lovely gardens to relax in. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and playing pool at the bar. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with high quality linen and furnishings. The location was also convenient for local attractions and activities.
We were disappointed that there was no complementary water provided in the rooms. It would have been a nice touch, especially for travelers who need to hydrate.

Spending our Christmas vacation at this hotel was remarkable. We loved the divine breakfast and the tranquil ambiance it offers. the location was just perfect for us as we wanted to be close enough to the city yet still enjoy the countryside. the swimming pool was amazing, and we enjoyed spending our afternoons lounging by the poolside with our drinks.
The only negative aspect we encountered was that there was no dinner served on weekends. We had to go out of the hotel to look for good dinner options, which was a bit inconvenient for us.
